Do you have a lot of ideas about building websites but can’t seem to find your focus?
Perhaps a website plan will help you stay on track.
Coming from a self-educated background with frequent periods of unemployment, we understand the limitations of sole entrepreneurs who endeavor to build a new website for a bit of passive income.
There’s a lot to think about when starting up a new website.
With the introduction of GWP’s Website Planning Tool, we hope to help your idea come into focus.
You can define your SEO and content strategy goals using the Website Planning Tool. It’s simple and just right for estimation purposes.
– Define how many posts you need to publish each month
– Define your monthly budget and costs
– Get a sleek website plan pdf, ready for print
How it Works
STEP #1 – Domain name and logo. In step one, we give our website a name and upload a logo.
For best results, upload a PNG at 250px by 150px logo. (If you don’t have a logo, try this one as a placeholder.)
The content plan defines the purpose of a website. Is it to fix Android phones? Or is it a physical product? Does the website educate or entertain? Is it a submissions-based community? Furthermore:
Who will write the content? How much will it cost to write these 10 posts each month, if a partner helps the site grow?
STEP #2 – Social outreach and link building. In step two, we talk about promoting the website with social media and links.
Is social media a part of your marketing? Some people don’t keep up with it, but it can be very useful in letting people know your site exists!
The majority of people are familiar with big brands, but if you’re a small website- it takes a lot of work to get a few visitors.
Instead of confusing you with “likes” and “follows” we chose the term “followers” as a way to define off-site promoting of your website using many types of social media services. See below.
Link building is still an important part of getting traffic, just like finding low competition keywords for your website. Low competition keywords are very important: one keyword can mean the difference between 3 visitors per day and 300 per day.
Likewise, a single good link can bring your website a lot of new visitors.
STEP #3 – Review budget and create PDF. Before creating the website plan we evaluate the total monthly costs and remainder of the budget. (Note: We excluded the usual domain and hosting costs in this version.)
Finally we can download the free pdf website plan, or send it to Gmail.
Click “Create Website Plan”….
The PDF looks good with most logos. The plan is clean and easy to read. Printable.
